I am a violin maker living in Texas. I started making violins in 2004, taking a course by Ricardo Flores, a violin maker in Seattle. It was a class of two.

The instruments I make are based on the successful designs of the past masters in the violin world, I do not make copies. My instruments are even across the strings, set up for comfort and playability. Violins, Violas, and Cellos become tools that produce predictable sounds. Wood is selected for tone production and its beauty.

I studied plate tuning with Edward Campbell at workshops sponsored by the VMAAI between 2008 - 2010.

Ed Campbell was a founding member of the VSA and worked with Carleen Hutchins, part of the Catgut Society, they developed free plate tuning for violin string instruments based on the scientific insights of Chladni patterns.

My work has evolved through years of experience and study, acoustical research over the last decades has raised the performance level of modern day instruments way beyond the traditional method of just tapping. The science of violin plate tuning offers predictability in the world where no two pieces of wood are alike. I won my first award in 2011, winning 3rd place in the tone competition with my 2nd original designed viola at the VMAAI competition in Tucson.

Violins and Violas are priced in the range of $5,000 to $10,000, and Cellos from $10,000 to $15,000. Instruments are shown by appointment only.
